Help with identifying thyroxine with no number on it
I am very sorry but I wouldn't know what to suggest to you. If you have been diagnosed recently with under function of thyroid gland, I am very surprised that you were told to get 10mcgr. Usually you would start the treatment with 25mcgr. Thyroxine, then after 3 weeks you have a blood test, and depending on the results, you will increase the amount of Thyroxine to 50mcgr. Again after 3 weeks another blood test, and you would increase to 75mcgr. Usually you will end up by taking 100mcgr. of Thyroxine. It all depends also on the level of your TSH in the first place. Once you are feeling better and the doctors are happy with your blood tests, you should remember to have a yearly blood test to be sure that your medication is correct.
You do not mention where you live, but I would want to be sure of the origin of your medecine and from a pharmacy you know.
Since you belong to this Forum, I guess you know that you have to take your Thyroxine first thing in the morning with only a glass of water, and wait one or 2 hours before having breakfast. And when you have your blood test, you should go first thing in the morning and fasting.
I hope I've been of some help to you, and wish you all the best.
Can you describe the actual tablets clearly?
Markings. Letters, numbers, "break" lines, etc.
Colour.
Size and shape (e.g. round and about 7 mm diameter).
I have got much stored information but I do need detail!
It was 100 mcp here’s pic of 2 together
Afraid I have tried and cannot be sure. The last thing I'd want to do is misinform you by making a bad guess.
The Indian companies are very poor at making information available to ordinary people like us. What I can see is not sufficient to make a firm identification.
Just wondering if it’s synthroid not generic looks like that. I’ll reach out to some of my friends in India.I worked in India and took their medicine without any problems.
Synthroid has the word Synthroid on one side!
I think IP might stand for Intas Pharma. (Did you mention IP earlier? I thought you did.)
Its on the box it came in and on the bottle/ its also on the other one that has the number but on bottle only.
I ordered the one without number from <a sales portal> there is a UK number on the web page
Have had to edit out the site name as we do not allow identification of prescription medicine suppliers who supply without a prescription.
Afraid that I would not use them. There are large numbers of negative reviews of the site you mentioned. They seem to claim to operate in Cyprus but actually operate from India - though that too could be false.
