Thyroid-S has change their ingredients and I’m have a question. I’m experiencing muscle stiffness and nerve issues for about 8 months. Numerous tests have come back negative. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Out of interest, do they list their ingredients, is that how you know? What's different about them? I thought they were quite "secretive" about their ingredients.

Are your Vit D and B12 levels optimal - Vit D 100-150nmol/L and B12 top of range - low levels of these could possibly cause those symptoms I think.

I take Thyroid-S and haven't noticed a difference in them, but some others have. After there were shortages I asked the representative at Sriprasit if the formula had changed in any way and was told that it hadn't (this person seemed to be reliable), but I believe that the thyroid extract has been sourced from a different place. When do you think it changed? Some people have needed either more or less than their previous doses, but the random way in which different people have experienced this seems to point more to personal sensitivities to its absorption than to a change in formula. That said, I do think that different batches can be a bit different, and once I needed a higher dose of a particular batch, but found the same happened with Naturethroid. Have you had blood tests done since finding a difference and experiencing the muscle and nerve problems?

I know they have changed because the taste is different. Before I could chew the tablets and they had a mango flavor now they taste awful! Tests came out ok.

Yes I know they removed the mango flavour, and they taste awful now, but I've always chewed every NDT I've taken and so they're now just as awful as all the others. I see what you mean by change of formula, but I had taken their reply to mean extras added rather than anything removed. If your tests came out ok then I wonder if the problems could be anything else. The group I'm in has reported things such as palpitations and waves of heat after taking Thyroid-S recently, I haven't seen any reports such as you're mentioning, but that doesn't mean that they're not caused by the Thyroid-S. I'll keep a watch and let you know if I find anyone else with the same problems.

I'm happy that I have confirmation that the taste is different. I was worried that I wasn't getting the real thing. I think it's best to take them without chewing. I noticed that they are stronger that way. I'm having trouble adjusting as well. Each batch seems slightly stronger.

I bought thyroid s from a different supplier during Covid and now have my usual suppliers too. They are both fine a haven't noticed anything different. The taste has always been weird although I don't chew them like you.
