NDT options?!

Hi everyone

I’ve been on ndt for 7-8 years. i am currently on the last of my nature throid mixed with a small amount of metavive which all seems to be going ok. i take 4.5 grains of nature throid with one capsule of metavive ii

i’ve been looking at pricing from my usual supplier which will cost me £600 plus for 4 months NDT plus i will need to switch to armour which i’ve not done well on, or NP which is even more expensive.

I tried switching to levo with T3 through a private consultant but he effectively wanted me to go down to such low levels it would have been impossible to function ( and it would have been very expensive to pay him to prescribe the t3).

does anyone who is still on NDT have any options or are we all stuck in debt for this product? as per forum rules please don’t name any sources or doctors on this post but general advice is gratefully received.

for info my free t3 was a bit high a few months back and reducing my ndt slightly seems to have worked, i’m also in peri menopaose & have hashimotos which seems relatively under control ( i test twice a year with thriva , supplement and i’m gluten free)

What about Thyroid-S - the only remaining Thai NDT, which you can obtain without prescription?
