Something is off

Hello for the last couple of years I've been having issues with my periods and my medication. My periods have gone haywire and my body isn't tolerating levo very well. In my last pregnancy I was on 150mcg of levo and developed sinus tachycardia my meds were dropped to 100mcg but the tachycardia remained until baby was born and since then I've struggled with the levo.

My meds were increased using actavis brand and I was doing alright until they changed branding and I didn't do well at all so another brand change to mercury pharmacy 100 and wockhart 25. I started getting shakes and feel very pumped up so my meds were swapped to 125 every other day but I was still feeling off my bloods were taken I'm assured they are ok. But I dropped myself to 100 only and in the last few weeks I've been having terrible shakes and up to 6 bowel movements a day though gaining weight and often the rushing pumped up feelings again. Also skin issues on my legs & groin that won't heal similar to eczema.

I've not long turned 40 and I'm of the feeling I'm peri menopausal but I feel a bit mad at the moment and I just don't know what's going on

Recent blood tests show no diabetes or other issues other than high urea levels?

Any advice would be appreciated thanks

As per previous post

First step is to get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing done

But you need to wait 6-8 weeks after changing your dose levothyroxine to test

Meanwhile request GP test vitamin D folate, ferritin and B12 NOW

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

As you are gluten intolerant, likely to have poor conversion of Ft4 to Ft3

You may need addition of T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine

But before considering adding T3 we must have OPTIMAL vitamin levels

Email Thyroid U.K. for list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologist and doctors who will prescribe T3 if necessary

Thank you for reply, I currently take b complex iron tablets omega 3 and calcium with vit d plus a few extras. All levels were normal at most recent blood test.

I no longer eat gluten haven't for almost 2 years now. I'm trying to get results of recent thyroid test results but they don't open till 2pm.

I've done an e consult for gp today requesting a endocrinologist referral because gp isn't very good on the whole treatment of thyroid as long as tsh is below 5 they are happy.

Thanks again
