I am 56yo. Dx with hypothyroidism in 2002. Within the last year my neck started to appear swollen - appears wide/ bulging. Any ideas?
Can you tell which structure(s) in your neck are swollen? Is it muscle? tendons? thyroid?
Or another possibility that crossed my mind (I'm not a doctor and have no medical training of any kind) is that your neck veins might be distended and that might be caused by something very serious.

I think you need to see a doctor and ask for your neck to be examined.
Thank you for your insight. I checked out that website link. I’ve also started having night sweats and I am tachycardia. (Fast heart rate). Sitting HR 91. Ranges up to 128 and palpitations. I’ve sent a message to my provider asking about imaging of neck as well. She’s not always willing.. I think she doesn’t like me trying to “tell her what to do”. But it’s my health!! 🙏🏼
