T4/T3 blood test timings

This is my first blood test on a T4/T3 combo. I’ve read through some previous posts on this and just want to check I have it right. I take 50mcg T4 and 10mcg T3 split into two doses normally. I take T4 and 5mcg T3 on waking and 5mcg T3 a few hours afterwards.

Blood test is booked for 8.40am. So I think I take my T4 and first dose of T3 as normal 24hrs before so at 8.40am the day before the test. Then leave my second dose of T3 until 12 hours before and take that therefore at 8.40pm. Is that right? Some posts say split T3 into three doses but that would be quite tricky I think is splitting a half pill into thirds. It might just crumble.

Yes, the second dose of T3 could be 8-12 hours before test depending on what's most convenient for you. Just try to keep it the same amount of time gap each time you test for consistency so you can compare results accurately.

Depending on how much T3 you take just split into two or three doses whichever can be achieved, with 10mcg then 2 x 5mcg is right, you couldn't split that into 3 with any degree of accuracy.
