Switching between levo brands and adjusting the dose

I switched from levo to synthroid with same dose and almost immediately felt it was stronger since I felt hyper: had high heartrace and insomnia. I was supposed to take 37.5 for 5 days and 25 mg for two days. I felt so bad that I reduced dose 37.5 ×4 days, then 3 days, and now take only 25 mg 7 days a week. All these happened within 3 weeks. So my question: if I feel that synthroid dose is stronger than levo, should I continue the same dose that was prescribed based on my labs, or reduce it? Doctor told me to wait 6-8 weeks, butvI just can't go on like this. After I reduced the dose I started feeling hypo: heavy, foggy, slow. Now I don't know what to do. I feel I need to increase my daily dose, but scared to get palpitations again. Endo doctor keep saying I have to wait 6 weeks. Is that right? Is only bad at the beginning and the body will adjust?

Hello, here’s an important piece of info. Generic prescriptions and generic over the counter items can contain 20% more or LESS of the prescribed dose. It’s one reason why it’s cheaper. Name brand has to have the EXACT amount prescribed. So I switched to Synthroid to have a consistent amount. Hope this helps!
