How long do I need to wait after COVID to get thyroid labs done?

Hi, I changed my liothyronine dose 3 months ago. I'm SO tired all the time. I had COVID at the beginning of November. How long should I wait after COVID to get thyroid lab work done? Please let me know.

I'm in a similar situation, I've just taken bloods today 5 weeks post PCR and did it 3 weeks post positive PCR too. I'm also terribly fatigued and desperate to know whether it's COVID effects or my thyroid. I was feeling good before catching covid but it was still really early after a dose change.

So no answer, but perhaps my new bloods might reveal something I can share with you.

Hi Fmljkl. I had Covid in August and my main symtom was lethargy, not really out of bed for 2wks, then a week of ‘wellness’, then a 4 day holiday, then another harsh viral infection, not Covid but seemed worse than Covid. I had a terrible time trying to get a blood test. None available on NHS because of the phial shortage and getting an early appointment with a private company was tricky too. So eventually I got a test at the end of Sept. As I suspected my FT3 had dropped, I was tired, mornings were sludgy, I felt mentally low and I’d had 3 periods in 9wks.

Unlike those without a thyroid condtion, I assumed my thyroid output would not recover (and I really don’t think there’s much natural output anyway at this stage in my disease) so the blood test was just to gauge how much I would have to up my dose. I increased by 5mcg T3 and I returned to normal within a few days. HTH
