here's a introduction to Marc Ryan , and an excerpt from the book . Seems sensible enough on the face of it ... about autoimmunity and the gut ., dietary / lifestyle changes.

( But bear in mind it's written by some one who felt unwell after a period of stress, with HBA B27 marker for crohns /ankylosing spondylitis, who then noticed a huge improvement in symptoms after altering diet /reducing stress .

He THEN found TPOab 1200 , but DID NOT have hypothyroid blood results ... and was already feeling better by this point .. ....

So following his methods may well bring improved health , but (without having read anymore of his book ) there doesn't seen to be any evidence that he knows how to put autoimmune hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormones) into 'remission' once it's happened.

And if we are being really pedantic .. he didn't have hashimoto's either ,, because that requires a goitre and hypothyoidism ... he had high TPOab and some non cancerous thyroid nodules .

But i'd happily give it a read if i had a copy .

I'm always suspicious of snake oil if someone is lobbying a book costing £50-£65 and the author concerned has got no qualifications except on acupuncture and herbals. Dietary advice is fine but there should be no suggestion that it will cure Hashimoto's, perhaps alleviate it to some extent. But that isn't a cure.

I often look at the price of secondhand copies. £2.19 seems extraordinarily low for a £50 book. Some books even go up in price!

Thankyou to everyone who replied - I know there is no cure and feel that the subtitle of this book is misleading and should be changed.
