Can I skip blood tests for this increase only?

Results on 50t4 +5t3 is as follows

TSH 0.45 (0.40-3.7)

Ft4 10 (12-22)

Ft3 3.1 (3.6-6.3)

Increased to 75+5 and am planning on increasing levothyroxine to 100mcg. I had been stable for a couple of years on 100+20 before my doc started decreasing my meds so I know I will need at least another increase. My doc doesn't want to take tests so if I need them before increasing I will have to pay for them myself. I don't have that extra money now as it's expensive where I live. Can I increase to 100+5 and skip the tests now and have them done after that increase instead?

Personally I wouldn't but it's your choice.

You had a below range result for both FT4 and FT3 on 50 + 5.

You increased Levo by 25mcg. That increase may well have given you a much better FT4 level but you may still have a very low FT3 level, it may not even be back in range yet. I would want to test now to see if the next step is to increase T3 rather than Levo.

Thanks for your advice. 🙏When I was on 75 t4 for almost for a year my levels were bottom of range 12-14 (12-22).so I feel confident that I will need 100t4.

Yes, I’d just go in symptoms for now, esp with such pitiful numbers 😞 Why do these docs interfere so much! Grrrrrr
