Thank you very much shaws. I look forward to reading this.
I lost 5 lbs when I first got to a stage where my hair was growing back earlier this year. But it wasn't too long before weight loss came to a full stop. And I'm still not losing any weight. Though it is not creeping up steadily as it used to be before I got to the stage where hair was growing again. So I need all the help I can get.
My weight is a real bugbear to me. If I could get back to a reasonable weight, ie nearer to where I was for so many years, 10stone 3 lbs, but ai could settle for 11st 3 lbs, I would feel much better in myself.
Although I am 12st 5lbs now and I have been as high as 15stones so a big improvement! I gave up weighing myself after that point! LoL
Thanks for sharing, I've had similar problems when only on T4.
He states that cancer patients with low tsh didn’t gain weight and for me this hasn’t been true I gained steady for almost 2 years after my thyroidectomy and my TSH was very low.
Thanks for sharing this Shaw, not sure what the conclusion is other than we all need more thyroid hormone to lose weight and that TSH isn’t the be all and end all! My brain fog may have led to me missing any other points.
I concur I’ve been told by many an Endo that I need to eat less and move more as my thyroid is “fine” and there’s nothing wrong with me. An Endo also called me a fat b@st@rd once which was nice!
