Create a publicly owned manufacturer for off-patent, generic drugs in the UK. This includes LIOTHYRONINE.

My amazing Endocrinologist sent me details of this petition to the government to create a publicly owned manufacturer for off-patent, generic drugs in the UK…..

Establish a national UK manufacturer of essential, off-patent, generic medicines (such as hydrocortisone, liothyronine or insulin) within the NHS. Make these medicines at close to production cost, in order to prevent the unethical practice of price gouging.

I like so many others, are having to privately fund Liothyronine just to stay as well as I can with my thyroid condition.

Thank you for posting this - it's the first time I've seen info about the petition and have just added my name. So far there are less than 7,000 signatures so the more people learn about it the better.

Thank you so much. You are so right. We desperately need people to sign up. Please ask as many friends as you can. Living with thyroid problems is incredibly hard and has such an impact on your life. I have struggled for years. Thank you again x

Hi…. Thank you for your message. Due to a horrific situation I found myself in with a stalker (the trauma of which has led me to have thyroid issues), I am too scared to do Facebook and keep clear of it since relocated. It would be fantastic if you could post. Thank you x
