Hope you’re well. I’m just trying to fine tune my dose of levo and lio as have not been feeling tip top lately.
I’m currently on 100mcg levo and 10mcg lio per day.
My latest results are attached in the photo.
I want to up to 125mcg per day, have been on that before and felt better.
My question is I’m lazy and don’t want to cut pills everyday. Would it be ok to do 200 twice a week and 100 the rest of the week? Or too big a jump? It’s a bit easier to remember if I do something different at the weekend!
Thanks

Hi there. I am a newbie on this site, but I have had problems with dosage too. Have you ever thought that it might be the excipients (fillers) in the tablet that is causing the problem? I have been on Levo for at least 15 years and had no problems until the pharmacy changed the brand of Levothyroxine to generic brands (much cheaper for them). I did a lot of research online about the brands and the fillers they use as I think that the fillers were the problem. a I am very sensitive to many meds and fillers and in my case I think it was probably Acacia powder that was the culprit. Unfortunately it seems that all the different brands have been taken over by one company and they all have the same ingredients. I chopped and changed with dosage but it did not help my symptoms. I eventually persuaded my GP (not easy as it is more expensive!) to put me onto liquid thyroxine and I hope that once I get the right dose it might help. If anyone is interested I will write more about this. I also gave up gluten about 4 years ago and lost a stone and a half without trying and that certainly helped with aches and pains (I wasn't overweight). If anyone is interested I will write more about this in due course once I know whether the liquid thyroxine has helped. Hope all this might help you.

Actually, you'd only be cutting a 100mcg tablet once every 4 days, you can store the cut portions of the tablet in a small screw top jar or similar, that's what I do.
But as Levo is a storage hormone then you can, if you prefer, to do as you suggest to average 125mcg daily but if you do 2 days at 200mcg and 5 days at 100mcg that's slightly more per week, ie 900mcg whereas 125 daily = 875mcg per week.
But, as pointed out by Lalatoot, be aware that by increasing your Levo this will not only increase your FT4 level but will also raise your FT3 level and from what your current level is this would take it over range. You will probably need to lower your dose of T3.
