Hello to you all hope your all ok at the moment it’s 3/30 as I’m not sleeping very well
I’m just writing to say since speaking with you a few weeks ago I have been taking my thyroxine on its own and just with water,I was taking it in the morning but sleep got a bit funny so changed to taking it late afternoon but it made no difference I’m wondering could it have made me hyperactive now although you had said that t4 wasn’t converting to t3 very well but I’m feeling quite exhausted, would I be better to try and get some t3 tablets and cut down on thyroxine taking 200 at the moment, also ever since I have had this problem which is many years I sweat so much even if I’m sitting doing nothing but if I’m doing something it can just drip off of me it’s absolutely horrible, but that’s a long term problem, I thought only hyperthyroidism did that to you ,the other thing I have is restless leg but since not sleeping very well I feel I have to move my whole body I’m hoping I’ve told you all I wanted and look forward to hearing back from you as you gave me some good advice last time thanks for that oh also the dr agreed to give me folate but said it was alright, he gave me 5 would it be grams anyway I still feel wide awake at the moment I know it will be later on today when I feel it ,the other morning as I didn’t sleep well I didn’t wake up till 11 o’clock and it was only that I heard the bin lorry making a noise if that hadn’t have happened I don’t know what time I would have woken anyway thanks for reading this and be seeing you bye kowbie

No to t3. It was only a month ago that it was suggested that you supplement to improve vitamin levels. You need good vitamin levels before you start t3. Plus the symptoms you describe can also be caused by poor vitamin levels. What you also need to understand is that t3 is not a quick fix. First you need to find a reliable source. Then you need to start on a low dose and build up. Taking t3 affects TSH and ft4 so you need to interpret blood results differently. Your TSH may drop below range which will cause your GP to want to reduce levo.
When on levo and t3 it can take years to slowly adjust the levels of each dose to get the results you need as an individual.
So levo and vitamins are the first and easier solution to try. Things take time and the body needs time to adjust and heal. If we don't give it that time we end up jumping from potential solution to potential solution and getting nowhere.
Thankyou for your reply,I suppose I want things to be right at once and I know it takes time I’m taking vit d3 magnesium and folate would you add anything else please thanks again x
I would go by seaside Susie in your last post. She knows quite a bit about vitamins from her experience.I was all but housebound for 2 years so I can understand your urgency to get better. However things adjust slowly in the thyroid world so hang in there.
