A private endo suggested to have 20,000 iu for a week to start with and then resume 1,000 each day. My GP will not give me the prescription does anyone know where I can obtain this. Also blood tests ordered by

private endo will cost 800 pounds. NHS has done some so that has helped. We need to save if we are not rolling in it. Thanks

No need for a Vitamin D prescription. You can buy 25ug Vit D tablets (5000 units) OTC at Holland and Barrett for about £10.50 per 250 tablets or weaker ones around 1000 units from Tesco.

20,000iu per week is approx 3000iu per day

Just buy your own vitamin D
