Hi all,
I increased my t4 dose by 25mcg a week ago and now my doc only wants me to increase by 12.5. Can I take 75 for 3 days to even it out ( that would be a weekly dose increase of 75mcg the same weekly dose as an increase of 12.5)

Did you increase by 25mcg of your own accord or did your GP tell you to do it and has now changed his mind?
If you are going to do the 12.5mcg increase, what dose tablets have you got? If you have some 25mcg ones just cut them in half and take this extra half daily, or take 25mcg alternate days.
Yes, I will do that. But I have taken 100mcg for 6 days already and I'm supposed to have taken 75/100 every other day. Can I take 75 for 3 days now to even it out?
Yes, as long as the weekly dose is the correct but I wouldn't worry too much. But looking at your results you've posted in reply to SlowDragon, I'd say that the dose increase should be 25mcg anyway, your FT4 is right at the very bottom of the range.
Ok, so maybe stay at 100mcg then instead as I thought before talking to dr. I read someone elses results similar to mine. She got the advice to only increase 12.5. What is the difference? Sorry if its obvious

No idea unless I see the post. Can you link to it.
Yes, I'm really just trying to get my head around this, its not easy.
What were your blood tests that resulted in dose increase
TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 results and ranges ideally
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after any dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
Which brand of levothyroxine are you currently taking
Do you always get same brand at each prescription
Important to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 too
