Sigma Pharm T3

Hi, I am in the US, and started taking Sigma Pharm T3. I researched this brand due to having Celiac. I am having odd side effects, such as my mind not shutting off. I don't have heart palps, or anything else, just my mind going over conversations, things I read..I can't shut it off. Has anyone experienced this? I am happy with the medication, except for this crazy issue.

Thank you for any advice!

Yes! I have this my my thyroid hormone is low. The lyrics of songs playing over and over in my mind and usually it's just one line. Same thing with conversations.

Glad to know I'm not alone! 😅Is this due to being undermedicated? I'm worried if I increase my dosage, the brain noise will get louder. Thanks for your response!

It only happens when I'm undermedicated.

Oh yes Dottie44. I can totally relate to that feeling.

Can it be the mannitol in the medication? There's nothing else in there that I could think of.

I think it happens to me if my dose is either too high or when its too low.

Thank you, SewingBee. I'm having labs drawn on Friday, so curious what my free T3 will be.

Presumably you have autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s diagnosed by high TPO or TG thyroid antibodies

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested.

EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 regularly

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

When on T3, day before test, split dose into three smaller doses roughly equal 8 hour intervals. Taking last dose T3 at roughly 8-12 hours before test

Is this how you do your tests?

Thank you, SlowDragon. I do have Celiac and follow a gluten/dairy/egg/soy free diet. I have Hashi's which was diagnosed 15 years ago. I've done well. on NP Thyroid until the NDT debacle started. At the end of May, I had no choice but to start synthetics. I noticed after a few days of taking the Sigma T3, my brain had excess chatter that I couldn't shut off. This is the only side effect, but it is extremely annoying.
