Hi everyone, I have Hashimotos and Hypothyroidism and I was wondering if you lovely people have any tips on getting a good sleep? I take my thyroid meds mostly 3 times a day and I'm wondering if I'm taking it at the wrong times which may be interfering with my sleep.
I'm on T3 meds and I take it as follows:
1st dose 8am
2nd dose 1pm
3rd dose 5/6pm
I cant seem to fall asleep any earlier than 11.30/12 midnight no matter how tired I feel and by that time I sometimes need a small dose of t3 as I can feel cramps etc returning.
I use a magnesium spray at night and lavender oil, relaxing music etc but it takes a while to nod off and 2 hours into my sleep I wake up usually 3 times throughout the night. Its exhausting.

I take T3 only. I take it once daily and have no problems either with pain or sleep or any of the awful symptoms I had when on levothyroxine.
I follow the method as stated by one of Thyroiduk's Advisers - a scientist, doctor and specialist in the use of T3 (he himself took his in the middle of the night when he awoke so that nothing interfered with its uptake). He also stated that one dose saturated all of our T3 receptor cells and they then sent out 'waves' throughout the day.
I will give you a link by Helvella to his archived site and I hope it it helps you.
