Are you on or have you tried strictly gluten free diet
If still eating gluten, get coeliac blood test done BEFORE cutting gluten out completely

Trying gluten free diet for 3-6 months. If no noticeable improvement then reintroduce gluten and see if symptoms get worse

Non Coeliac Gluten sensitivity (NCGS) and autoimmune disease
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/296...
The predominance of Hashimoto thyroiditis represents an interesting finding, since it has been indirectly confirmed by an Italian study, showing that autoimmune thyroid disease is a risk factor for the evolution towards NCGS in a group of patients with minimal duodenal inflammation. On these bases, an autoimmune stigma in NCGS is strongly supported

The obtained results suggest that the gluten-free diet may bring clinical benefits to women with autoimmune thyroid disease

In summary, whereas it is not yet clear whether a gluten free diet can prevent autoimmune diseases, it is worth mentioning that HT patients with or without CD benefit from a diet low in gluten as far as the progression and the potential disease complications are concerned

Despite the fact that 5-10% of patients have Celiac disease, in my experience and in the experience of many other physicians, at least 80% + of patients with Hashimoto's who go gluten-free notice a reduction in their symptoms almost immediately.
I have Alopecia Areata i.e. hair falls out towards summer then grows back - except for this year and it has only just started to grow again . I've had hair fall for ten or eleven years.
My medical condition has now changed too, as I now have several autoimmune conditons:-

I hope your hair grows back quickly and that it doesn't fall out again. Baldness makes us feel quite vulnerable
I have bought some wigs and - especially in summer - we'd rather not.
I reassure myself that at least I do not have a more serious condition.
I am reluctant to wear wig especially in the summer. It’s reassuring to know that they will grow back. My Trichology also told me that. Thanks for your positive feedback
Friends who know me are positive about the wigs I have used.
I buy through an online service. You chooose what you'd think would suit and they permit a trial at home (as long as you don't cut off the label which is on the inside) and you can post back to them.
Some friends, who hadn't seen me for sometime, didn't realise I was wearing a wig. Some are very light.
My endo advised not to.
I have given up with supplements for hair loss, having tried everything. My best remedy is to wear a Beautiful Betsy hair topper which clips on top of my own hair. Not as cumbersome or hot as a wig.But nothing compares to our own hair.
