Reduce T3/ keep T4 the same ?

Hi if anyone could offer guidance would be much appreciated.

Current doseage 100 T4, 18.5 T3 daily.

Thinking to reduce T3 down to 12.5 and keep T4 at 100?

Or should i reduce T3, leave a few weeks and increase T4 to 112 daily?

I dont supplement iron, my ferritin is always high for some reason

I do take igennus super b complex, but folate is always on the low side.

All other vits look good, so getting there with current supplements.

I would reduce T3 as you describe and leave levo at 100mcg. Ft4 result is good.

Ft3 result is too high. If your last dose was 8 - 12 hours before this test the Ft3 peak would be even higher.

Hi Lalatoot,Yes figured T3 would be even higher, as last dose was 10 hours before. Definitely decreasing immediately and will keep t4 dose the same.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. It’s appreciated 😘

Did you take last dose of Levo 24 hours before test and last dose of T3 8-12 hours before test?

Did you leave off B Complex for a few days before the test?

If so, and if those were my results, I'd reduce T3 to 12.5mcg and retest in 6-8 weeks. Result of that new test and how you feel should determine next step, you may be fine with your FT4 at that level or you may need it higher.

If you take 1 x Igennus Super B then I would increase to 2 tablets daily for a while, get that B12 up to nearer 700 (which would be the equivalent of around 900-1000pg/ml which is recommended by Sally Pacholok in her book "Could it be B12?") and increase your folate to at least mid-range (35+)

My thoughts only, I am not medically trained.

Hi SeasideSusie, followed all the guidance re last doses, biotin etc. I’ve been taking one super B and a separate b12, so would you think to just increase the supper b to two and carry on with separate b12, or drop the separate b12 ?I’ll definitely reduce the t3 ( keep t4 the same just now).

(Absolute no symptoms of overmedicated, heart rate resting 59, no palps, weight loss, shakes etc).

Thanks for advice, much appreciated 😘

I would drop the separate B12. 2 x Igennus tablets gives you 900mcg B12 which is a good amount. Maybe retest in 3-4 months and see how levels are then.
