Hi,
Can anyone advise?
I have a high T3 of 8.3 (13 hours after NDT dose) and concerned it might cause a problem. I do not have palpitations or jitters etc. Exhausted but calm. Is it ok to have a T3 that high?
Many thanks in advance

It's generally felt that it's best to keep within range although some people do need it to be slightly over range. What is the range for your test?
What were TSH and FT4 as well (guessing TSH is very low or suppressed).
Hi, Sorry for late reply I've been really unwell. Results as follows:
TSH <0.01 (0.27 - 4.2)
Free T3 - 8.3 (3.1 - 6.8)
Free T4 - 14.5 (12 -22)
I'm exhausted and feel really unwell but not jittery. Would a reduction help do you think?
Kind regards

Some people might be OK with those results but it might be worth experimenting. Maybe NDT doesn't have the right ratio of T4:T3 to give you the right levels of each hormone, this is where synthetic Levo and T3 allows fine tweaking of each to find the perfect doses for you.
I take a synthetic combination and your FT4 result would make me very unwell, I need both FT4 and FT3 around 60-70% through range.
It doesn't look like you can get a higher FT4 with your NDT unless you take your FT3 really high and that probably isn't the best idea.
Have you ever had results where you feel well, or certainly a lot better than you do currently? If so, what were they?
Nutrients all optimal?
Hello Shilling :
Looking back I see you were on NDT around 4 years ago :
Is this first time your T3 result is this high ?
I run with over range T3 on NDT after around 12 hours and am well ?
What brand of NDT are you taking, and have you changed brand recently - several brands have been recalled due to potency issues ?
