Are there any supplements I should take close to taking T3?

I take T3, 3 times a day and was wondering when to take my supplements.

Thanks

I treat T3 like Levo, I leave 2 hours for most supplements and 4 hours for Vit D and magnesium (four hours would be for iron and calcium and oestrogen/HRT as well).

In regards to HRT, I have oestrogen patches so how would these effect my thyroid as they are on all the time?

I'm afraid I don't know. I just know that if you take oral oestrogen/HRT it's one of those said it's best taken 4 hours away from thyroid meds. Maybe put a new post up asking your question as there are some members who use HRT patches.

I read that it's irrelevant when you take hrt as it's a constant level in your body so will affect thyroid meds in any event - spacing won't help, just likely to need a slightly higher dose of thyroid meds to compensate (Endo agrees too). Sorry no idea where I read it.

I’ve been on patches since before I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. I was told that any estrogen can make your thyroid results look better than they actually are. I’m not sure if this includes being on the patches first.

My thyroid results have never been over high, but I’ve always needed my TSH to be pretty low in order for me to function.

As the patches are through the skin, and also like sublingual sprays (eg vitD) I think it doesn’t then matter when the tablets are taken.

I tried coming off the patches, but it made me feel terrible, so I’m staying on for the foreseeable future - my choice.

I’m not sure I’ve made any sense. But hope I helped a bit.

not on HRT as I have had cancer, so no oestrogen however much I'd like some!!!! as 10 years after the menopause I am still plagued with hot sweats, and always hot and tired! I am not hyperthyroidic I have checked
