Specialist pharmacies in UK now can supply thybon Henning 20mcg tablets at £1 per tablet

See thyroid UK main website for info on private prescription T3 options .... including Roseway Labs

EU options closed due to Brexit..

It seems that since Brexit UK prescriptions can't be sent to the German pharmacies like they used to be.

ThyroidUK have a list of pharmacies here in the UK who will dispense your prescription, it would seem that the cheapest is Thybon Henning at £1 per tablet. Ring round the pharmacies to check the cost, I think Roseway might be the cheapest but do check them yourself:

Thank you. So would i need to ask for a specific brand from my endo? And then just y contact the pharmacies? I'm not really convinced the endo's on board. I'm currently taking ndt but want to switch to combination of T4, T3. My TSH is very suppressed atm and my T3 over range so i am currently reducing my ndt to retest in 6 weeks. My endo has offered to write a prescription for T3 and help me switching back to levo/T3 but wants my TSH up first..... I'm wondering if his real plan is to get me back on thyroxine only.....

Is there anywhere that you can buy T3 otc still without prescription?

Once you have the prescription you can buy from any pharmacy that has it in stock.

Be mindful that some brands done suit certain people so perhaps don’t buy too much in one go, ask the pharmacy if they can give you 4 weeks and then the rest later as it’s expensive stuff and you don’t want to have to bin it if you can’t tolerate it.

Try one brand, if it doesn’t work try another. Some people love Thybon others can’t tolerate it.

Good luck with T3, it can be life changing.

Not in the UK. Apparently it is now supposed to be prescription only in Greece although very occasionally a member has been able to buy the odd box from the odd pharmacy but it's not as easy as it was.
