Those who run marathons know about "hitting the wall". Does anyone on T3 only get a similar experience if they miss a dose of T3 - e.g. through forgetfulness or through deferral in advance of a thyroid blood test?

T3 only - hitting the wall
If you have a high enough dose of T3 your thyroid (assuming you still have one and it has some limited function left) will probably give up creating any T4. So, if you take T3 only, then stop taking it or forget to take it, you end up in a situation where you have no thyroid hormones at all. And that can be catastrophic. So it doesn't surprise me that you might "hit the wall".
I'm not sure what the recommendations are for taking T3 prior to testing for people with no thyroid function or no thyroid, taking T3 only. Perhaps you might have to reduce the number of hours with no hormones?
I assume it depends upon how much of T3 the person takes. I know that my one dose of T3 can last for three days. Eventually I lowered my dose slowly and settled, so far, at 25mcg daily (this would approx be equivalent to 100mcg of levo).
From what I have read (and Lord knows there's a lot to read!) T3 only people must keep Vit D, Ferritin, B12 and Cortisol optimal.
