I started T3 about a month ago and have been slowly titrating up. I am now on 100mcg levo and 10mcg lio.
Quite soon after starting I developed a flickering just under my left eye. Yesterday I also briefly had it under my right eye. It’s not all the time but maybe half the time.
Anyone else had this? If so, will it settle down and go away? Or should I see a GP or wait for my endo appointment?
thanks all

My husband gets this when he is tired/ dehydrated. The optician told him it was a common occurrence, linked to electrolyte imbalance (eg sodium / potassium) Are you feeling tired? Drinking plenty of fluids?
I’ve got to say my eyes are much better since starting my T3 trial (I have TED- it’s reduced my swelling/ plus my eyebrows have regrown missing outer third).
Yeah I wondered about that but I don’t think my sleep’s anymore messed up than the usual messed up state it is. Haha.
I just had it really badly and I’d not drunk much for a couple of hours and it’s gone again now I’ve drunk a few glasses. Will keep an eye on that link! Thank you
I had this for a whole year. So frustrating! Turned out it was magnesium deficiency. After a couple of weeks supplementing with magnesium glycinate the flickering under my eye was gone. Such a relief!
This is really interesting. I usually take it really well but because my ability to swallow started getting impacted and then trying to fit the T3 in around the timing of taking the magnesium I have been taking less of it than usual. So maybe that’s what it is too... very interesting. I’ll try and take it regularly for a few weeks and see where I get to
How much magnesium do you take? From my experience you need at least 300-400 mg / day. And preferably in two spilt doses as the body can’t absorb too much at once. But I know it’s tricky to fit in with the t3. I have the same problem. I take 187mg at 10 am and 187 mg at 7 pm.
With the addition of T3 you need to ensure you have optimal minerals and vitamins. ReMag and ReMyte (Botanicahealth) have been my back up. I keep a pint glass of filtered water on the go and sip throughout the day.
