Hi, my temperature has been dropping below 35 degrees, been in the 35’s got a few weeks, but now even lower. Had a call back from a gp who sent me off to the pharmacy for a reliable temp check and they wondered why, as they don’t do that. Anyway, when I got home phoned and spoke to a different doctor who said that I’m not diabetic and my thyroid is normal so maybe it’s old age😩 I’ve only just turned 70 and have always been fit and slim until 2 years ago, when I started to gain weight and had numerous symptoms. He said that the doctor’s notes didn’t give any other reason, unless I’m ill ( sepsis) which I’m not. Another thing that I just have to live with, which is what the first doctor told me! Sorry, just had to get it off my chest x

Low body temperature
Suggest you repeat thyroid and vitamin testing
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Make sure to do thyroid testing as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Ask GP to test vitamin levels
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
If/when also on T3, make sure to take last third or quarter of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

I did blood tests about 3 months ago and everything was ‘normal ‘ except that my vitamin d was 80, optimal. I’m currently taking vitamin d supplement, magnesium and zinc. Have been on prescription calcium (Adcal-D3/200 I. U. for years. I give up! Thanks for your reply, you are so knowledgeable. Wish I could say the same for the doctors!
I’m still waiting for a report on my neck scan, which included the thyroid, but suspect that was normal too as the consultant only had positive things to say during the scan
