Medication issues

I’m not doing good as I was on natural thyroid medication and was doing well but since it’s been removed due to issues I’ve had to take NP thyroid which just isn’t doing the same job ! I’ve now got weight gain that I can’t control. Is there any other medication that is as good as natural thyroid was

What was your brand of natural thyroid before?

NP Thyroid is still Natural Desiccated Thyroid, just a different brand. However, there seems to have been recent problems with NP Thyroid according to stopthethyroidmadness.com/a...

On the other hand, that site hasn't yet realised that Actavis has become Allergan (as manufacturer of Armour Thyroid) and she can't spell Pfizer! (Phizer.)

So I am very circumspect about what it says there!

I think the recall of NP Thyroid has been mentioned before (not only there). There have been a few posts about NP here, about the cat pee smell and recall and not doing well on NP:

Yes - there was a recall! Indeed, there were two announcements last year by the FDA:

I think there are a fair few of us in the same boat. I found that the NP did nothing for me at all and my levels were terrible. I was well on Thyroid S, but at the moment I am having to take Thyroxine and can feel myself going downhill.

British slaughter houses throw away all the throat glands. I may have to take up skip diving!
