Gluten intolerant

After 4 years following the advice here not eating gluten products I fell off the wagon last December (ish) It was easy snd I was tempted by bread and cakes !

It has been an insidious route back to problems I had before . I was so enjoying a piece of toast for breakfast and maybe the occasional cake . However over what has been a couple of months I realised it was giving me a lot of discomfort.

Now having stopped it for 4 days things have already improved!

Just a reminder to myself and anyone else, how sneaky it can be creeping up on me . I realise I must keep away from gluten.

Yes thank you. Miss toast very much but not tempted due to discomfort I had . Gluten free bread doesn’t seem work for me .

Tried most but a small price to pay for feeling better !

Some gluten free bread makes absolutely delicious gluten free toast (in dedicated GF toaster)

Waitrose brown sliced seeded is wonderful

Get your chefs hat on and try making GF cakes (shop made GF cakes are awful....but homemade are delicious)

I am not a cake eater but Freee website has some really great GF recipes for breads, cakes and pastry. Enjoy!

I posted recently re GF bread recipes and got lots of great links to websites. I’m particularly enjoying using recipes from the art of gluten free baking. It’s a US site, but conversions are easy to understand.
