I need to stop thyroxine 175 mg after 34 years to have some scans. Any tips please on extra vitamins or how I will feel. I am on week 2 and starting to slow down. Many thanks

What a ludicrous idea....what sort of scan?
Whose telling you you need to stop levothyroxine
Likely to become extremely unwell
That's a very unusual thing to do. It could make sense if told to miss one day's dose but to stop dose altogether to have a scan sounds strange.
Did an endocrinologist tell you to stop your dose? The fact too, that you are now beginning to experience 'slowdown'.
Could be an thyroid uptake scan to investigate your thyriod my.clevelandclinic.org/heal... . You will probably be fine for the first week and then start to get progressively tired from the second week onwards. It's a standard test.
Stopping thyroxine I have never heard of anything so ludicrous in my life,I got thyroxine stopped years ago and after 2 weeks became profoundly unwell .it is standard practice with any doctor that this is slowly reduced BUT NEVER STOPPED.
