Has anyone tried raw desiccated bovine hormone from Forefront Health in New Zealand? What did you think?

Forefront Health are based in Boulder, Colorado - not New Zealand!

They just buy the product from New Zealand. (Not certain whether they import the powder or the capsules.)

I am doing the whole protocol and taking all the supplements. I take half of the 65 mg capsule of the raw dessicated thyroid in the afternoon. I have to divide it into 2 empty capsules as evenly as I can. A whole capsule gave me strange gittery feelings.

I take 60mg Armour Thyroid in the am.

My FT3 went from 2.26 (low) range 2.30 - 4.20 in Oct. To 3.49, same range, this week after 3 weeks on the program.

This is the first time my Ft3 has been within normal range.

My Ft4 is still low and my TSH is too high and has gone from 1.95 to 3.26 range .40 - 4.50.

I feel okay in general though I still get exhausted sometimes. I am iron deficient so iron supplements are helping with the exhaustion too.

I am sleeping better.

Hope this helps.

So far, so good. I still take 65mg Forefront's Thyroid Glandular and 60mg Armour. I also take the other products and follow the diet as well as I can. I also take iron, and I just started taking heme iron.

Not feeling quite so exhausted in a normal day, but I still can't exercise without exhaustion. I think that will be a while in coming.

I get my bloodwork done next week, so I will report back then.

Hi Susieg1

thank you yes please report back after testing and what ever you do keep taking Armour before Armour and the Forefront program what were you taking?

Take care. :)

Only ever took Armour, 30+ years now. My doctor only ever went by TSH, which was normal, according to her. I didn’t know about FreeT3, etc. Was never tested for antibodies. Since I felt more or less okay for years, nothing further was ever checked.

I learnt everything to be tested on on this forum and my current doctor is great. Whatever I ask for, she puts on the prescription.

So, found out I have Hashimoto's and my FT3 was way too low.

It only came up into normal range since taking the Thyroid Glandular etc.

I realized that I never did report back. I stopped the Forefront program as it was doing nothing for me.I am still on Armour thyroid 90mg. I feel fine most of the time, just still get exhausted legs.
