I have previously taken ndt thiroyd for 4 years and felt well on it. As I can now no longe r source it I have been taking metavive and haven’t felt well at all , struggling with chest pain and exhaustion. An endocrinologist has now prescribed me 100 micro grams of Levo and 20 of T3. I have been told to take both tablets first thing on a morning. I was used to taking 3 grains of NDT split through the day. Will taking my tablets first thing not leave me exhausted in the afternoon. I so want to feel well again. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read my post

Many of us split our T3, some into 2 doses some into 3 doses, some take it in one dose.
Do what is right for you. If you want to experiment do so. If you want to take split doses do so. It's your body, your medical condition, your medication.
You will find what works for you, just a bit of trial and error, if splitting worked for your ndt you may need to split the t3 I wouldn't bother splitting the levo xx
Many thanks for your reply, I am praying I will feel as well as I did on the NDT I now can’t source.
Fingers crossed NDT gets back in production soon, till then listen to your body and do what feels instinctively right.
If you were splitting your NDT throughout the day I would spilt your new T3 medication also. It lasts about 8hrs for me and also has a half life of 2/3 days. I split my Liothyronine every 8hrs, as I get up, 2.30pm and a third dose around 9pm. I only take a third dose if I’m exercising on a regular basis for a prolonged period, otherwise I just take it twice a day. I’m also on Levothyroxine. If you’re a poor converter it makes sense to take it throughout the day otherwise you’ll get a big dip once 8/10hrs has past. I’d do what you’d been doing and split it.
I take my 100 Levo and 20t3 first in the morning, then in the afternoon I take another 20t3 and this seems to work for me. (as prescribed by my endo).
that combo/dose is what I have been taking for over several months now. I take it at about 6am, or earlier if I wake up. All in one go and have been feeling fine on it.
