So following a consultation with GP and also their in house pharmacist after i had some some serious reactions to levothyroxine, the GP sought advice from the endocrinologist directly, rather than requesting a referral for an appointment for me , he said it would take to long, minimum wait is currently 6 to 8 months for new referral. Endocrinologist has requested i speak to in house pharmacist next week at GP surgery, to get a prescription for alternative thyroxine medication.
