Hi SarahI recommend you watch podcasts from Dr Newson - she is well known if you google her and can be found also on Facebook, the podbean app, YouTube. On fb her site is ‘My Menopause Doctor ‘ - lots of free advice - she also has 2 private clinics if you can afford. Diane Diazebrink is another good source of info and she runs ‘Menopause Support ‘on fb - make sure it’s her site as there are others with very similar names - she too offers consultations and support and can help with letter writing when contacting your gp.

I was (am 🤣) a hormonal mess not knowing if it was hypothyroidism or menopause - I currently take Levothyroxene and Liothyronine for thyroid and I’m trying to improve my vitamin levels (I’m a bit slack I have to admit with taking the vitamins!). I’m post menopausal and currently taking HRT - I’m on Oestrogel, Utrogestan, and Androfeme. I have come a long way and I am grateful to the knowledgeable people on this site who have helped kick start my journey.

It’s definitely a juggling game, knowing your body - keeping a diary might be useful for you ... we are all individual and there is no one med suits all. But knowledge is key - read /listen to as much as you can from recognised sources. Good luck.

I just had to grin and bear it. On the plus side as hypo we have a reasonably early menopause and get it over and done with years of better life ahead. I believe there is some help available these days with hrt etc. My daughter tells me she has lots of help I didn’t have. I always found looking forward to the end helped me a lot. Good luck
