Increase in fluoxetine

Hi, I have recently increased my level of fluoxetine from 20 (which I have been on for years) to 40mg. Two weeks in I feel as I did when I first started. Exceptionally low mood, headaches, fatigue, difficulty focusing/concentrating, agitated and panicky. Should I persevere in the hope it gets better?

Just wondering if you have posted here in error, we have a lot of experienced thyroid patients here who are happy to help with thyroid related issues. Have you had your thyroid checked?

A friend of mine is a psychiatrist and says a number of patients sent to him with depression and other mental illness turn out to be hypothyroid and need thyroxine (and sometimes liothyronin) and NOT anti depressants.
