Recent blood results
What time of day was this test done?
Cortisol result are extremely time of day dependant
What thyroid hormones are you currently taking
dizzy1979
Presumably still on NDT? What dose and for how long when this test was done?
TSH is where one would expect to see it when on NDT.
FT4 is 43% through range.
Total T3 is not the right test, it's Free T3 that tells us what we need to know as it's the amount of T3 that is unbound to protein and free to be taken up by the cells. Essential to have FT3 test done when on NDT.
What time was last dose of NDT before test?
Can't help with sex hormones.
What time cortisol test done? Hidden is good with cortisol results.
Hi seaside susie, yes still on thyroid s I take 2.5 grains a day spilt over two doses. Bloods were taken at 9am and last dose of meds was 24 hours as I forgot to take the evening dose these bloods were requested by my private endo. I actually have three pages in total of results but can’t seem to upload more than one picture.

You'll have to type out the rest of the results if you want them interpreted as we can only put one picture in the opening post of a thread.
The fact that your last dose of NDT was 24 hours before your test means that your FT4 and Total T3 are showing a false low level.
Would it have made a big difference in results?
dizzy1979
Impossible to say how much difference I'm afraid.
Lymphocytes 25.8% 1.25 ( 1.5-4.0)
Dizzy1979
Obviously your lymphocytes result is way over range so needs discuss with your doctor.
What would this indicate usually?
The NHS recommends this website for information about lab tests: labtestsonline.org.uk/patie...
Ferritin - 124Active b12 - 93.0 (13-150)
Folate -5.6 ( >2.9 )
Ft3 - 7.0 (3.1-6.8)
Thyroglobulin antibodies - 118 (0-115)
Thyroid peroxidase abs - 14.3 ( (<34)
Vit d - 92
A.c.t.h - 23.7 (7.2-63.3)
17 Hydroxyprogesterone - 1.91 ( 0.91-2.73)
Do you have ranges for these?
That FT3 wasn't done with your current thyroid tests so can't be taken on it's own, needs to be from the same blood draw as TSH and FT4 and an old test isn't relevant now.
All of the tests were done at the same time but there were so many it spread over 3 pages.
Dizzy1979
So your FT4 is 43% through range and your FT3 is over range. With you having false low results due to your last dose of NDT being 24 hours before blood draw, it would suggest overmedication due to the high FT3.
It may be that Levo plus T3 might be a better fit for you so that you can tweak doses of each to get the perfect combination rather than the fixed ratio in NDT. Or you might just need a slightly lower dose of NDT.
Ferritin - 124Active b12 - 93.0 (13-150)
Looks like you've mixed that up.
The Ferritin range is 13-150 and yours is a good level.
Active B12 range should be 37.5-188 so yours isn't too bad, I like mine over 100.
Folate is low, when there is no proper range with a lower and upper level then a result in double figures is recommended. When a proper range is present it's recommended to be at least half way through range.
Thyroglobulin antibody are positive suggesting autoimmune thyroid disease. Do you have a diagnosis of Hashimoto's?
If Vit D unit of measurement is nmol/L then your level is OK. The Vit D Society and Grassroots Health recommend a level of 100-150nmol.
Can't help with the last two I'm afraid.
Thank you. My antibodies have reduced significantly since testing about a year ago, but with the results assume I have hashi’s. I didn’t take any of my vitamins or supplements for about a month before this test so I am actually doing ok at the mo, I reduced my thyroid s from 2. 3/4 to 2.5 6 weeks before these were taken so maybe I need to reduce down to 2.1/4 a day.
HI, sorry only just seen this. Your cortisol result of 213nmol/Ls is definitely on the low side, it should be nearer to 350-550nmol/Ls at that time of day, so warrants further investigations. Hopefully your Endo will do a short synacthen test to see how well your adrenal glands are responding. Ideally they should also do a blood test for ACTH as this shows if the issue is with the pituitary gland. Sadly not all Endo's are conversant with pituitary issues as they deal more with diabetes.
