Hi everyone ❤️

I just want to put this out their I'm having trouble with hyperparathiyroidism bloods showed raised pth and calcium OK but no out put in urine although I did have a test sometime early this year for hospitalization due to passing a kidney stone which showed calcium in my urine, I have had the uptake scan which showed no uptake in parathyroid glands so endo has discharge me, OK.. Now my friend who has had similar symptoms to me and has raised pth and calcium had the same uptake scan which like me showed NO uptake in parathyroid glands, she was rushed in to hospital 2wks ago and had 3 and a half of her parathyroid glands removed, she is now recovering well. how accurate is this uptake scan???.. I have heard because the parathyroid glands are small they are not always detected by this method.. Given I feel so unwell and OK my calcium has again returned to a normal level and its at the top end at 2.57 now,, before that it was 2.60 which they say is now normal it was 2.87...with pth 9.5....diagnosed as hyperparathiyroidism, just again saying how accurate is the scan and how the hell can anyone recover with symptoms if endos discharge you over no uptake 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Hi bantam12..Thanks for the info yes I have already read this hence my absolute none convidence in my endo, as my calcium has been going up and back to normal with a raised PTH level I thought this would indicate hyperparathyroidism???? My endo said so.. As I said my calcium output in my urine showed none that particular month, but a few months ago due to hospitalization due to passing a kidney stone showed a marked positive test for calcium in my urine so much that the specialist requested I inform my endo of this finding,, I did but this fell on deaf ears, I've been a rather crafty person in that my surgery can't do my 6 weeks thyroid blood work, so I had to attend the test at my local hospital, I requested TSH, T3, T4, ferteen, foliate, vitamin D, B 12, calcium, PTH.. To be done as my surgery refused, PTH, calcium, vitamin D, and B12... Foliate, ferteen to be done, the lovely nurse at my hospital complied thank goodess so just awaiting on results 👍👍👍👍
