WOCKHARDT THYROXINE

I usually have 3 x 25mcg Wockhardt thyroxine tablets a day, as other brands upset me. My pharmacy have today told me they cannot get Wockhardt at the moment. Does anyone know why?Earlier in the year there was a shortage of Wockhardt because they had batches recalled.

I've also read that Wockhardt are going to be making the Covid vaccine, so maybe they have stopped making other drugs at the moment?

I have contacted Wockhardt and yes they were helpful, they said there is no problem with Wockhardt thyroxine at the moment, and gave me a number for my Chemist to call to see which wholesalers are stocking it.

Good - let us hope your pharmacy is as co-operative!

Given that a pack of levothyroxine tablets is so inexpensive anyway, it is hard to see a pharmacy losing out by very much.

Hello there :), i think the first thing i`d do is to ring round all my local chemists to see if anyone has any in stock, or if they can get it for you. There`s always a chance it might just be your regular chemists supplier that can`t get it. Good luck

Hi catsmummel, thanks, the problem is I had 2 other items on the same prescription which they have given me, so can't get it back and go to another pharmacy, I would have to ask the doctor for another prescription.
