Update on inconsistent ferritin results NHS vs Medichecks

Following on from this post (which links to lots of others - apologies) I have now taken another medichecks test (thanks to all the tips to attaining a "bloodbath" earlier this week - which worked perfectly i may add). This was to send the blood to a different medichecks lab that uses the same platform analyser.

The results are interesting. The ranges are slightly different, except for Ferritin.

The Ferritin result is much lower than previous Medichecks results, but still higher than NHS.

The TIBC seems to have fallen - not sure of the implications of that.

Serum iron also fallen.

Suggests the platform analyser in the other lab could be a bit wonky I would suggest. Still quite a variation between medichecks and NHS but less of a variation than before.

I will be having another call on monday with medichecks but if there's any questions other than the above please do suggest below - thanks.
