TSH 45

Despite medication TSH is still not responding yet and I’m feeling super bloated and also experiencing chest pains. They started in the right a few weeks ago and never went away and now I feel it in the left side too. I don’t see my endocrinologist until close to Christmas and her office never answers the phone. Should I be worried about these symptoms or are they normal? I found it heard to sleep last night almost like every time I was close my body woke me up for some reason like it needed to be awake.

Hi Amethyst, do you know the results from your recent blood test ? this might help people give you answers. How long have you been taking the T3 in addition to the Levo, and what dose of levo are you on now etc will all help people to advise.

i'm not sure what to advise about the chest pains, as i haven't been on T3 myself , so hopefully others will advise if you can give us a bit more info on your recent dose changes and blood test results.

I just started the T3 and 100mcg of levo maybe 2weeks ago.

Last blood test:

TSH 45.00 reference 0.450-4.500

T4 1.02 reference .82-1.77 so not bad here.

T3 1.8 reference 2.0-4.4

B12 753 reference 232-1245

Ferritin 56 reference 15-150

Vit D 36 low end of ok

Important to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low iron or ferritin can cause tight chest or breathlessness

Any chest pain......See your doctor to get checked out
