On what grounds? It cant be stopped if you need it..

Hi Galathea hope You are well. I had that dreaded phone call from pharmacy saying that the company who make special orders - purified levo in my case are no longer making special orders.

Hi Sue, I am fairly well thanks, but it turns out i married a pretty nasty idiot, so am embroiled in a messy fight for my rights. Court next week!

What was the name of the company? Can you contact them? Sometimes the pharmacies get it wrong...... i would double check with them.

If they really are not making purified levo and you need it, i think the option is to find a compounding pharmacy .

Oh sorry to hear that!!! As if 2020 wasn’t bad enough!!!

I cannot contact them as they are not available to speak to the public. This is an ideal time to cut their cloth and offer me standard levo that I am allergic to. I will phone Endo tomorrow.

I thought I read on this site that liquid thyroid medication was available in at least parts of Europe. If so is the composition of liquid not any better than pill forms?

I haven’t tried the liquid, I don’t think this is going to be easy

If not liquid Levo what kind of purified Levo do you mean? x

I have had liquid levo for years - part pills (100mcg) and part liquid (12.5mcg from MercuryPharma) which I can micro-adjust as I am super sensitive. Had to go to NHS Endo for initial approval but now no problem, pharmacy gets it without any problem.

I have been taking them for 11 years.

I could not tolerate any other levo so I am allergic to the fillers. This that I take is levo in calcium phosphate in a gel capsule, no other filler.

I have been thinking about your post & wondering if I might have allergies to fillers too. I saw a Allergist earlier & they felt the benefits out weighed my symptoms. The most troubling symptoms have become G.I. in nature now. I was wondering if your allergy symptoms became G.I. in nature prior to obtaining levo in calcium phosphate?

Hi Sue, what a bloody nuisance, it's not like you chose the purified levo for fun, you went through years of poor health to find what works. Didn't they tell you few years back your prescription was safe! What has gp/Endo said? There must be a compounding pharmacy that can do it, your Dr or pharmacy need to do some research and fast.

Dr Malcom Kendrick has said many more will suffer because of covid not from it! It is the chemists responsibility to fill your prescription. The hoops we have to jump through just never ends. Sending love xx
