Englarged adrenal glands on both glands

I think Im going down a rabbit hole here because basically Im not a doctor!

Ive had an incidental finding of enlarged adrenal glands on a CT scan. I am now being tested for Cushings disease.

But can people have enlarged adrenal glands without being Cushings related. When I saw my GP earlier in the year he said not to worry about it but Im due surgery and they wont do it until we have an idea of what is wrong ie it can be dangerous to have the surgery without knowing what is going on.

Now for the rabbit hole. I have also read that it could be a congenital thing and when I read further, it said about a particular gene and mentioned about also causing changes in the reproductive system ie two wombs and 1 kidney etc. Well, one of my Daughters was born with that. Therefore could this all be genetically related?
