A lot of it is around being on an optimal dose of thyroid hormones, so if you post any recent thyroid blood tests it may be possible to see if you’re on enough levothyroxine.
Secondly, low Vitamin B12 is frequently a contributory cause to carpal and tarsal tunnel syndromes and low B12 is common in hypothyroidism due to reduced gut absorption.
Hi there I have had this on and off for years but I have always found Vitamin B6 works - and in fact I am low on it - when I take it I see the swelling in my wrist go down - the link below is a bit technical but you can get the gist - it works.
Get a referral to a place that does tests to determine how severe it is (probably a large nearby hospital). If severe enough you can get simple surgery to correct it. One hand at a time of course unless you have extremely obliging friends.
Very quick, local anaesthetic, day patient, quick and successful recovery.
Could be problems/delay caused by Covid.
Leaves a scar of course but who cares about that?
Now have matching scars on both wrists, carpal, 3 on my neck, thyroid, and a big one on my stomach, kidney cancer.
Oh the joys of getting old and decrepit!
