Hi mimisami, I wouldn’t worry too much I’m sure you’ll be fine. My endocrinologist has put me on a temporary dose of 60,000 ui per week (I will only do this for a month).Usually the loading dose for those with severe deficiency is around 40,000 ui per week. Maybe just double check with your clinic that it won’t interfere with any other medications ( I wouldn’t have thought so).
Thank you so much Arlie. I did most of the research my self as both clinic and endocrinologist suggest an over the counter supplement (endo suggested 1000iu in the winter).
Im speaking to the clinic again later in the week and will ask what the max dose is. Its reassuring that ppl are on higher doses temporarily
No problem. These are the ones I take clearchemist.co.uk/huxd3-ca.... You would just need to take a few each week as each tab is 20,000ui. My endo recommended these.
It’s worth noting you should ideally take vit k2 and magnesium alongside vit d especially when you are taking a high dose as they work together. Search SeasideSusie posts as she gives lots of good info on vit d.
Thank you so much. Yes i did follow one of her posts and am on 100 vit k. Take them along side with my vit e oil caps and vit d in oil. The first link didnt work for me. Will ask the clinic if they recommend something strong Thank u so much.
Don't forget that you need magnesium when taking vitamin D as well. There are loads of posts on the subject of magnesium supplementation on the forum, if you do a search.
Vitamin K2 is also very important with vitamin D, and this also gets mentioned in lots of posts too.
