I went to pick up my prescription today and the pharmacy could only give me 2 boxes of wockhart instead of usual 2 months worth.
The pharmacist said that they have 7 suppliers and each of them was struggling to provide any wockhart.
It’s so frustrating as I feel I just got everything perfectly balanced after adding a 25mcg tablet cut up into 7 pieces over the course of a week on top on my usual 75mcg. Just that small amount made a massive difference.
I know that other brands are physically much bigger tablets and have loads more fillers and I’ve taken other brands in the past and not felt as well as I don’t think they’re as potent as the WH tablets.
Pharmacist says they’ll try and get more WH but prepared me that I might have to have North Star.
Has anyone any experience of other brands they think are as potent as WH? Would it help if I cut the larger North Star tablets up?
I really don’t want to go back to being tired all the time.
I tested vitamins and minerals back in July and vit D could be a little higher but everything else was pretty optimal after working hard to supplement.

I assume they would be the same dosage tablets? Northstar 25 microgram tablets are actually Teva product.
Northstar 50 and 100 microgram tablets are actually Accord product.
I very often suggest people contact the manufacturer to find out what is really happening. There have many times been claims that some product is not available when the company that makes it says there is plenty.
This is a list of currently marketed levothyroxine tablets in the UK.
Please note that re-branding (whether by a manufacturer or as an ‘own label supplier’) – which has happened with several products – does not mean any change to formulation.
❗ – Take particular note of the actual product which varies by dosage.

Thank you for the info. I told the pharmacy no TEVA and had no idea that 25mcg NS was actually TEVA as well!
I think I will contact the supplier, if they say there’s plenty available how can I then get my pharmacy to order it in? They are actually very helpful so I’m sure would be cooperative if I suggested something.
