My parathyroid levels were 9.9pmol/L in december 2019. Vit D was v low at 20 nmol/L. Calcium within normal range. Thyroid Perox Antibodies were 32.4 U/mL.
Repeat bloods last week showed parathyroid hormone as 9.7 (norm is 1.6 - 7.5), Vit D - 53, Calcium 2.42 mmol/L (norm is 2.20 - 2.60).
So parathyroid/calcium/Vit D are all ok (parathyroid slighty high). Can a fellow forum member advise if I should be concerned with the parathyroid level? It's just that my GP says that as long as my bone profile and calcium are within norms, they wouldn't be doing anything about that.
How long does it take for parathyroid levels to stabilise? I thought it was 3 months but it's been a year that I've been on Vit D and thought it should have sorted the parathyroid levels out by now.
My Thyroid antibodies are now at 74 U/mL. Is iU/mL the same as kU/L? Under U/mL the print out says it 'should be' <6.
