Hi everyone, A little off piste here, but would value feedback please.
I have been on Evorel 25mcg patches( oestrogen only) for at least twenty years with no problems.during the shortage of hurt last year, I was put on another which was 40 mcg, which did the trick, but irritated the skin, and I was having really weird, horrible dreams. As I didn’t want to take more than necessary, zi used to cut some off the end.
However, I have now gone back on Evorel, and I am having problems with hot flushes, and generally feeling overheated. I am normally a cold mortal!
As the manufacturer has changed, I wondered if they have been reformulated, as often thi4ngs are, and has anyone else had the same trouble?
I am on 50 mg Levo, and self medicate with t3(1/4 of 25 mcg tab.

I was cutting a bit off the end of the patch, so it was the same as I was on previously.
I have a telephone appt. with Doc this afternoon, and am going to ask if I can try a different one to see if the symptoms recede, then I will know if it is the Evorel.
Hi Scrumbler, I had my conversation with doc this afternoon who suggested that I may need to go up to 50mcg if the 25 are not so effective. As I have a few patches, I am going to put two on, and if they get rid of the symptoms, then he will prescribe me the 50.
Tried the gel quite a few years ago, and found it didn’t really do the trick. I suppose too much was left on my hand.
He did say however, that a lot of hrt in general is still very hard to get hold of still.
