Help with results please. TSH low but anti-bodies high?

With thanks in advance to all the incredibly knowledgeable people on this site for your assistance - it has been invaluable in the past. I just can't seem to get my head around how to read these latest results as attached.

I can see that all my vitamins are low and have started to address this but why would my Anti-Thyroidperoxidase and Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs be so high when my TSH is so low?

I have had a large amount of stress during the last 6 months - could this have any bearing?

Because there's no connection between your antibodies and your TSH. They are not inter-dependant.

The antibodies are high because you have Autoimmune Thyroiditis - aka Hashi's, on here.

Your TSH is low because your FT4 and FT3 are high: there's the connection. The higher the Frees, the lower the TSH - which is the way it's supposed to work.

The question is: why are your Frees so high.

Answer: probably because you recently suffered an attack on your thyroid by your immune system, and the dying cells dumped their stock of hormone into your blood.

And, that's why your antibodies are so high (although they're not really very high), because they came along after the attack to clean up the blood of traces of TPO and Tg.

That's the way it works. :)

Thank you greygoose. That's made it a lot clearer. I find that stress exacerbates how I feel and it's been hard recently to work out what symptoms are stress-related and which thyroid. I was doing well on Metavive I and then things went downhill so I went back to Thyro-Gold which has been even worse - maybe it's a bad batch. I've stopped everything for the last few days to clear my system out and feel much better for it, but know that symptoms will return again so my plan is to optimise my vitamins as I'm completely whacked out at the moment, and then ease myself back into Metavive I. I get so fed up with constantly juggling symptoms and treatments. Would love to have a day just feeling normal.
