Recommend getting FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing to see if thyroid levels are optimal

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially as you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

If/when also on T3 or NDT make sure to take last half or third of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test

Do you have a thyroid condition? I would say not being optimally treated puts us more at risk to EVERYTHING’! I had untold amounts of damage while not optimally treated.

Yes my levels are good I have a good endocrinologist

Levels are 0.01

Assuming that is your TSH result. What are the FT4 and FT3 results ? Do you have Hashimotos ?

Every time someone posts ‘my levels are good’ I want to reply ‘we’ll be the judge of that!’ 😂😂 Sorry shouldn’t laugh but we’ve heard it soooo many times. I presume the 0.01 is a TSH level? Totally unhelpful once we start supplementing as we’re interfering with the natural order of things so the ‘loop’ that natural keeps us balanced doesn’t work.

What you need to know is your FT4/3 levels and (ranges). HTH

Call me an old cynic (my husband does) but every time someone posts ‘my levels are good’ I think - yes for the receptionist or the doctors dog but probably not optimal for you.

Hi. Had a frozen shoulder before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, very, very painful, lots of physio which didn't help and eventually it cured itself after a year. Can't say if the two are connected. Hopefully it will right itself.

I have hashis and I had a frozen shoulder for best part of a year. Nothing helped. It eventually went away on its own. Very painful and made it difficult to sleep.
