The website - Childrens Health Defense - is a good place to start. I am not anti-vaccine nor is the website - we just need safe vaccines.

I agree have you seen the ingredients!!!

To be honest I wouldn't get my information from Facebook. the problem with social media is people can make up statements without any supporting facts and use anecdotal evidence to support their own opinions and it can travel like wildfire if it looks legitimate.

Yes the Covid vacine is being rushed but unfortunately we are against the clock with Covid to get the world back functioning. Most other vacine especially childhood ones go through rigurous trials and take years to develop before they are used on the public :-)

I'll add that genetics and enviromental factors can also play a huge role in someones developement autoimmune issues

Far more prevalent these days why?

Karenk13 profile image

Improvements in diagnosing these issues in children is one reason. 20-30 years ago a child was classed as unruly or bold insted of having ADHD or being dispraxic or having Autism spectrum disorder. Secondly there have been indications that the increase in over processed foods (fast foods) and decrease of proper nutrition these days can have an impact on the gut/brain axis as both are highly linked which can be shown to contribute to autoimmune issues too.

I don’t trust these vaccines looking at the ingredients it’s scary no one knows the long term effects until after a long term way to dodgy, the vaccine scandal in India look at thalidomide

Karenk13 profile image
Karenk13 in reply tofayray

Yes Thalidomide was a teribble tradgedy but was also mis-used as it was originally developed as a sedative and somehow ended up being given to pregnant women for morning sickness which is a serious case of medical negligence.

It's entirely normal to be skeptical of new medicines and rightfully so but that doesn't mean that all are bad if it wasn't for vacines people would still be getting polio and small pox . There will always be some that have a bad reaction to a vacine the same with any medicine. For example I'm allergic to Penicillin a very safe an well known antibiotic but not for me .

There have been alot of studies conducted to try find links between certain vacines and other conditions but so far most have been inconclusive.

I agree with you about the covid vacine and I want to see conclusive testing before I blindly get it.

That’s the problem someone decided to test it out on pregnant women ‘they’ are playing god and don’t give a dam about the casualties

The fact checkers are out in force so I don’t believe that anyone prepared to have a vaccine rushed without the proper testing is mad

I agree that we must check our sources. Reading the website Childrens Health Defense which is American - is a little more transparent. I have followed Kennedy and his fight to protect children for many a year. There are too many conflicts of interest everywhere. Vallance - government expert - once was on the Board of Glaxo Smith Kline at a time they were paying out billions in compensation for damage caused by various drugs. Surely it's no coincidence one government vaccine project is with GSK.

If vaccines are safe why have the companies been granted immunity for up to 4 years after the vaccination - think it's Astra-Zeneca I read about. In the US you cannot sue vaccine companies - only the government - so compensation comes from tax payers - and takes years.

Something is not quite right !

Well said Marz also been following Kennedy the more you investigate the more it smells, hashimotos has be a thorn in my side for 30 yrs took the dr 17yrs to get a diagnosis and to think it could have been a vaccine makes me so angry

I am not anti vaccines. They do so much good worldwide. However I have thought about posting a question to see if anyone else with Graves thought it might have been triggered by a vaccine. Mine started a few months after having Hep A Typhoid and tetanus prior to a visit to Asia. Coincidence ??

fayray in reply toasiatic

🤔 vaccines have done a lot of harm too it’s not until you start investigating that it’s about money not health

Pascha1 profile image

yes i think my graves was triggered by a smallpox vaccine

fayray profile image
fayray in reply toPascha1

And they want to give us a covid one that’s totally unnecessary I’m more an more convinced that my son and I have both been victims of vaccines

I think I will put a heading to a new thread as I would be interested to know how many on the forum suspect vaccines as a trigger

I am convinced my Hashimotos was triggered by the same trio of vaccines I had before travelling to S E Asia. That was a while back and vowed not to have a vaccine since....

After reading all replies to this post and subsequent one more focused on thyroid, there certainly does appear to be compelling anecdotal evidence that vaccines are a factor. Added to other factors listed in responses eg diet, genetics, plus other suggestions online such as over-emphasis on cleanliness (especially with kids).I

I'm unaware of studies to confirm this scientifically. I will check but, unless rich pharma have funded them, they've either not been done or are unpublished. And I'm not sure they would fund them!!!!!!

After a very brief check, I found the paper linked below which was published in the Lancet in 2003 and concludes: "Autoimmunity is a feature of thenormal healthy immune system. There is little doubt that laboratory measurable signs of autoimmunity can associate with infection and might occasionally appear after vaccination. It is comforting to appreciate that the immune system has evolved sufficient fail-safe mechanisms to ensure that these signs rarely develop into clinical disease".

Note conflict of interest statement for the 3 authors: M Goldman has served as a consultant for Aventis-Pasteur, BruCells,Glaxo SmithKline, and OM-Pharma. P-H Lambert has served as aconsultant for Aventis-Pasteur, Chiron, Glaxo SmithKline, and OM-Pharma. D Wraith is a director of Apitope Technology (Bristol), andhas served as consultant for Glaxo SmithKline, Peptide Therapeutics, andTeva Pharmaceutical Industries.

I'll let you all decide!!
