I have been having a few issues lately and I have had some great help and advice on here so far. I have had some results for a D Dimer test from when I was in A and E a few weeks ago and they thought I had a suspected blood clot. Thankfully after having a CT scan I didn't. I have got Antiphospholipid antibodies, Pernicious Anemia and Hashimoto's. I have been waiting for a report to come back from the hospital and have got results of blood tests they did there. My D Dimer levels were raised and when I asked the Doctor at my Practice what that meant she said she couldn't tell me what the result meant and that she didn't understand it. She said they would normally just file everything as no action required!!! I told her about my Antiphospholipid antibodies and that I was told in A and E that I am at risk of blood clots and have been lucky to have got to my age without having one. My GP is now sending me to see a Haematologist and I have a list to choose from. I am in the Northwest and wanted to know if anyone has been to Royal Liverpool Hospital. It is interesting to note that during my research of D Dimer results, a high level can also indicate undertreatment of Pernicious Anaemia with B12 injections. I have learnt so much from everyone on here these past few weeks which have been a nightmare and made me realise how badly we are all treated by Professionals

I got some private messages thanks in response to my question. My Hematologist was very helpful and has now written Pernicious anemia on my hospital letter. He also reassured me about my D dimer level and my Antiphospholipid levels have also dropped to within range. Very interesting as I have been put on 4 weekly B12 injections last October after another trip to A and E where my legs went numb and I couldn't walk properly
